Still Alive :)

Hey! I'm still alive out here :) Life has just been crazy since I got back from Spring Break so I haven't been blogging in a little bit.  We only have about 26 days of actual classes left which is freaking me out quite honestly, since I have alot of work due, but I'm at peace knowing God's got it under control!
I have really just been amazed at what God has been doing in my life and in the lives of those around me; I really don't even know where to start.  One amazing picture of God's power happened last Wed. night:  I got rid of my pink eye before I returned from break but it came back again in my right eye on Monday.  I went to church Wed. night, still having issues with my eye, and Travis and Tiffany two people on the college leadership team have been praying over people that need physical healing and they asked if there was anyone that needed prayer for healing; I went to them and explained my eye situation.  They prayed over me and I went back to the dorm that night and noticed right away that the redness in my right eye was gone;  the next morning when I woke up (I didn't put in antibiotic drops that night)  there was absolutely no junk coming from my eye and or anything-God is the amazing healer :)
I will share more stories when I get a chance and try to get back to a regular blogging schedule.

Break leaves too soon....

As quickly as it came, Spring break is leaving me :( Tonight is my last night on the beach before heading back to G'boro tom. around 11.  I cannot believe that there is only about 2 months of my freshman year of college left!  It just flew by....
I am very excited to be back in contacts as of Wed. and I'm also feeling much better from the sinus junk I had earlier this week; glad to be going back to school after a week of recovery, good food, and sleep :)
Cathy and I went to VA on Thurs. and were able to pick out a maid of honor dress for me for her wedding that we really liked-yay!  And also on Thurs. I got to watch Steven's first home lacrosse game against Bishop Sullivan.  OBX lost 5-4 but I thought they played a good game and gave Sullivan a run for their money.  It was also quite a chilly game-hot chocolate and blankets required.

Spring Break!

Spring Break has arrived and I can definitely say I am glad to be home.  I have just been sick, sick this semester.  I came down with some sort of cold thing on Tuesday of this week and then Wednesday into Thursday I lost my voice, then Thursday I woke up showing definite signs of pink eye; I ended up going to the health center for rounds three and four of the semester on Thursday night and Friday morning to make sure there was no cornea damage to my eyes (which there wasn't, thank God) and I also got antibiotic drops for my eyes.  I wear contacts and the doctor told me I definitely could not wear them for 7 days at the least so I have had to turn to my glasses BUT my glasses are about 3 prescriptions behind my contacts so I can see ok up close but far away-forget about it.  It has been very interesting doing things with only partial vision; I can be on the computer and watch tv but not for very long because my eyes get tired.  I know Satan is trying to wear me down and get me discouraged but its not happening! I have had mom keep me busy with small tasks like today since the weather was so nice, I gave the dog a bath, washed out some flower pots, cracked and shelled pecans, and even loaded mom's new printer onto her computer :) The one thing slowing me down a little has been the cold thing that is hanging around and feeling more and more like a sinus infection (lots of water and suphedrine).  I am going to the eye doctor on Wednesday and hopefully that will be the day I can put my contacts back in-yay!
I am putting some pics up from the snow day we had-enjoy :)

This was taken Sunday night about and hour after the snow started.

This was also taken Sunday night after a group of us built a snow woman (with correct anatomy and everything); my lovely roommate Sadie J is puckering up behind her.

This was what all the trees looked like Monday morning-very pretty!

Snow in G-boro FINALLY!

WOW! what a great start to the week Sunday night into Monday; Greensboro saw between 5 and 6 inches of snow!  Sadie described it perfectly once we found out they cancelled Monday classes around 9:00 Sun. night and decided to all go out and play: "It was like releasing 200 4 year olds." No joke-there were people everywhere and we were all sledding down a hill on plastic lids and cardboard boxes (the landscapers are HATING us now :)  Yesterday, I went sledding again with Sadie and Shanessa-we had tons of fun.  Yes, I am 19 years old and I get as giddy as a 6 yr. old when it comes to snow-I love to play in it :) I have 2 albums of pics on my facebook page but I will put some of them on here ASAP.
I am very much looking forward to spring break, and I'm unfortunately sick again :(  Can't wait to see the fam. and eat some of mom's amaaaaazing food!
